Introduction
Kosovo is a small country in the Balkan Peninsula. It’s home to just over 2 million people, but it’s known for its beautiful mountains, picturesque lakes and rivers, and of course its fashion scene.
As one of the most fashion forward places in Europe, Kosovo has been gaining recognition among international fashion bloggers as well as locals who want to dress up their homes or give their wardrobes some new inspiration. We’ll be exploring two different ways this trend has been growing one by using social media platforms like Instagram and other popular apps like Pinterest and Tumblr; another through using blogs such as Your Outfit Book which helps bloggers create stunning outfits from nothing more than pictures uploaded onto their website!
The Rebranding of Kosovo
Kosovo is a country in the Balkan region. It was once part of Serbia but declared independence in 2008, after years of war with Serbian forces. Today it has its parliament and government, but still struggles to get recognized as an independent state by many countries including Serbia and Albania.
The rebranding project by fashion bloggers aims to change this perception by turning Kosovo into an international destination for fashion lovers who want to visit this beautiful place full of history and culture. The bloggers created a new logo that represents both Kosovo’s past as well as its potential future: “We decided on a symbol that represents both our ancient past as well as our future.”
Fashion Bloggers
Kosovo fashion bloggers are a growing trend in Kosovo, and they’re changing the way people think about Kosovo. They’re an inspiration to the young generation and are helping them express themselves through their posts on social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook.
This is why I’m so excited about this collaboration: it brings fashion bloggers together with a powerful message that will continue to raise awareness of our country’s history, culture, artistry, and beauty and hopefully inspire more people around the world!
Your Outfit Book
You’re a fashion blogger. You’ve been blogging for years, whether it’s just for fun or because you want to make money from it. And now, your blog is getting bigger and bigger!
You want to do more than just share photos of dresses and shoes on Instagram; you want to build an audience that can help get the word out about your designs. But what’s the best way? What kind of content should I post? How much time should I spend writing blog posts versus shooting photos?
There are so many questions when it comes to building an audience online but luckily there are some great resources out there that can help answer them! Today we’re going to take a look at one such resource: Rebranding Kosovo by Fashion Bloggers: An Illustrated Guide to Branding Yourself as a Designer of Clothes (Or Anything Else).
Rita Sarangi
Rita Saragi is a fashion blogger from Kosovo. She runs the blog Your Outfit Book, which has over 7,000 followers and has been featured in many fashion magazines.
Rita Saragi’s goal for her blog was to create a space for women who love fashion and want to share their style with others. The name of her site is inspired by the book Your Style by Amy Cuddy, who talks about how people can change their attitudes by changing their physical appearance.
Rita has also created an Instagram account where she shares photographs of outfits she’s wearing online (you can see those here).
Fashion Bloggers are Changing the Way People think about Kosovo
Fashion bloggers are changing the way people think about Kosovo. They are using their platforms to promote Kosovo and raise awareness about the country.
However, this trend is not limited to just fashion blogging. You can find international media outlets covering this topic as well, such as The Guardian and Elle Magazine which have recently published articles on how bloggers are using their platforms to promote Kosovo (and other places in Eastern Europe). Rita Saraqi is a member of a rising group of young Kosovars who are attempting to establish the nation’s new online identity one that is youthful, lively, and secure. She uses her blog to dispel misconceptions about Kosovo that is still widely held by people throughout the world, misconceptions that are a result of the 1998 1999 conflict (before I left London for Kosovo, I heard the same piece of advice over again: “Be careful.”). Even after eight years of independence and 17 years of hostilities with Serbian forces, Kosovo still presents itself to outsiders as a nation torn apart by racial cleansing, organized crime, and the iconic NATO bombing. The lovely cafe has books lining the walls, and small bouquets on each table, and its patrons mostly Albanians, who are once again the majority in Kosovo converse over a macchiato. However, inside Dit I Nat, Kosovo’s reputation conflicts with reality.
When Saraqi shows Iraqi she is wearing a choker and a loose, striped sweater. While sipping tea, she considers her position among the nation’s contemporary bloggers. Although she has only been running her fashion blog, Fishnets and Rainbows, for two years, she claims it was Kosovo’s first. She is 22. Since starting it, she has worked with both domestic and foreign companies; she has fronted advertisements for Mango and Benetton. Attending Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Berlin, where she was interviewed by two television stations, was a career highlight for her, she says: “It provided me an opportunity to inform people about my nation.” Born and raised in Kosovo, Iraqi says, “As a blogger, I send a message – I inform people about Kosovo and what we are into.
Conclusion
The fashion world has taken notice of Kosovo and we’re excited to see what they come up with. This trend is a great example of how brands can use social media to build a stronger connection with their customers. Whether it’s through blogging, photography, or video editing make sure you share what you’re working on!
