Furthermore, Tod arrived at Marni showing the high-top sneakers with ribbed-knot socks that were peeping over the top, and it was at Marni where shoes and sporty striped socks became a thing.
While sporty socks were also featured by Balenciaga’s pre-fall 2021 collection. Look seven comprised grey-washed trackies that have been tucked into the neon Runner sneakers and black socks, while on in the lookbook later a model was captured wearing a hoodie, a dress, white Balenciaga sports socks, and trainers (Source: Vogue).
